# Use the Cortex web app

The Cortex web app is the human interface for reviewing and working with the same Account-owned knowledge available through the [CLI](/docs/cortex/reference/cli), [API](/docs/cortex/reference/api), and [agent integrations](/docs/cortex/integrations).

## Open Cortex

1. [Sign in to the Cortex web app](https://cortex.socra.com/login).
2. Authorize the Account you intend to use.
3. Confirm the selected Account before you create or change Cortex data.

An OAuth grant is scoped to the Account selected during authorization. Review [Access and permissions](/docs/cortex/administration/access-and-permissions) when the Account or principal is not the one you expected.
